Miss Philippines 2010

Czarina Mae Gatbonton, named Binibining Pilipinas World 2010, taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM), along with Ma. Venus Raj, 21, of Bato, Camarines Sur, Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010, and Krista Mae Kleiner, 20, Binibining Pilipinas International 2010, will represent the country in the Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss International beauty pageants, respectively, this year.

Gatbonton impressed the judges with her answer for the question, “Given another life, what would you like to be and why?’’ She answered in Tagalog and said, “Gusto ko pong sagutin ang katanungan sa ating Wikang Pambansa. Kung ako po ay bibigyan ng pangalawang buhay, gusto ko maging puno na nagbibibgay hininga at buhay. Salamat po. (I would like to answer the question in our native dialect. Given another chance to live, I would like to become a tree which gives breath and life to us).”

Standing 5’10 ½” and weighing 116.6 pounds, Gatbonton measures 34-23-34 1/2. She enjoys playing basketball and volleyball and acting.

She said that she dreams of becoming a beauty queen.

Raj was asked the question, “How far she would go to achieve her dreams?’’ and answered, “I will really do my best, and do everything that I can do to achieve what I really want in life. It is also important to have God in me so that I can achieve my dreams.’’

Raj stands 5’9”, weighs 110 pounds, and measures 35-22-35.

Before joining the contest, Raj worked as an Information Assistant at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 4.

She has a degree in BCA Major in Journalism and was Best in Long Gown, Best in Regional Terno, and Miss Friendship, a special award that she shared with a semifinalist.

Aside from playing volleyball and basketball, she is also into singing.

Kleiner, 5’10”, is a TV personality and a Psychology graduate. She was Best in Swimsuit and Best Talent.

She was asked the question, “If you will have the chance to meet President Obama, what would you talk about?’’ Kleiner said, “President Obama did so much charity work and really dedicated his life to other people. I would also ask his advice on how I can follow his footsteps and how I can help the Filipino people.’’
