Arti has a degree in Biology and Chemistry and hopes to run her own medical practice which provides support to poverty stricken areas across the world. Hobbies include: listening to music, dancing, travelling, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Arti’s personal motto is: ‘it is better to try and fail, than to fail to try.’

INTERVIEW

Tell us a little something about your Country ?

Guyana is a gem of a country. It is geographically South American but culturally Caribbean and is the only English speaking country in South America. Georgetown which is known as the ‘garden city of the Caribbean’ is the capital and the largest city.

Future ambitions ?

To have my own medical practice and to provide medical attention to people living in poverty stricken areas across the world.

Describe yourself

I consider myself a fun loving, honest, hard working and down to earth person. I also see myself as a passionate person; I am passionate about achieving the goals I set for myself and passionate about helping others.

Personal Motto?

It is better to try and fail, than to fail to try.

Favourite food ?

Chinese fried rice.

Favourite Music / Books ?

I have a great appreciation for all genres of music. My favourite book is ‘Alice in Wonderland’ by Lewis Carroll.

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?

The day I graduated from college with my bachelor’s degree in Biology was the most memorable. I remember how proud and happy my parents were. On that day, I reflected on the challenges I faced to get to this stage including living in and adjusting to three different countries.

I am a proficient public speaker.
