She is said to have shed 30lbs since her hip surgery earlier this year.
But it appears that that number may be more as Lady Gaga is a shadow of her former self in a new image featured in her upcoming risque shoot for V magazine.
With her ribcage, back and hip bones protruding, the singer reveals an alarmingly skinny frame in two other topless shots.

Cling wrapped: Gaga also goes completely nude, merely covered in cling wrap

Merely wearing a pair of black briefs, Gaga bends over only to accentuate her tiny torso.
In the shocking shots, she also experiments with yet another hairstyle, this time a blonde short crop.
With no clothes to model in the pictures, the focus is not only on the Born This Way star's physique, but also her heavily made-up appearance.
Meanwhile, an alternative cover for the magazine has also been released.

Ahead of the November release of her new album ARTPOP, the Pokerface singer stripped down for the array of images, taken by photographers Inez van Lambsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
In another shot, Gaga is seen with black muck on her face and her bust.

The magazine features Gaga on four different covers, with each look custom-designed by world-renowned design houses, Balenciaga, Armani, Saint Laurent and Versace.
The first image of a butt-naked Gaga was uploaded to Instagram last month by Inez and Vinoodh.
In it the singer is sat on a chair with her legs spread apart and her modesty protected by a strategically place hand and arm across her chest.

Au naturel: Lady Gaga goes naked and make-up free in a new photo shoot for V Magazine

We are used to seeing her in all kinds of extravagant and unusual ensembles which never fail to shock.
But Lady Gaga is proving even more titillating in her latest photo shoot, which sees her stripping nude.
The singer bares for V magazine, posing on a stool with her legs apart while using just her hands to protect her modesty.

Leaked: Footage of the singer licking a mannequin hand has hit the internet and is believed to be part of promotional work for her new album ARTPOP

The 27-year-old’s face is also naked in the snapshot as she goes completely make-up free.
Gaga flashes a toothy smile as she proudly shows off her natural self, and sports full dark blonde ombre curls which cascade down her shoulders and cover one eye.
The Paparazzi hit-maker looks very slender in the revealing snap, while tattoos on her left arm can just be seen.

The image as posted on photographer Vinoodh Matadi's Instagram page on Saturday along with the caption: 'Get ready world for our pics of @ladygaga for @vmagazine !kisses iv #artpop.'
Gaga is certainly doing well at drumming up excitement for her upcoming album ARTPOP.

As well as her birthday suit photo shoot, a strange video which is believed to be part of promotional work for the record has been leaked online.
In the 23 second clip, Gaga, who recently set tongues wagging about her under wraps album when she deleted her Twitter page, repeatedly licks a monster like hand in slow motion.

The claw pops up from the bottom of the screen and looks like a plastic mannequin hand, although parts of the yellowish paint have chipped off.
It was revealed earlier this month that ARTPOP’s debut track will be released on August 19.
Meanwhile the album itself will hit the shelves and be available for download on November 11, with pre-orders beginning September 1.

A placing in the Forbes annual Highest Earning Celebrities Under 30 carries even greater cache than a one-on-one with Harvey Weinstein or Simon Cowell amongst youthful stars.
And coming top of the list this year is 27 year-old Lady Gaga who raked in an eye-watering $80 million between June 2012 and June 2013.

Justin Bieber came second on the annual Forbes list - and he hasn't yet turned twenty

The Born This Way singer hauled in the dollars despite having to cut short a lucrative concert tour after undergoing hip surgery.
She spent weeks in a wheelchair - a gold plated Louis Vuitton one of course.
Musical talent dominated this year's list.

Ranking an admirable second place was teen idol Justin Bieber, 19.
Despite more bad publicity than good over the last 12 months, Bieber isn't quite on the breadline with an annual income of $58 million.
Those teenage girls clearly have some spare money to spend.

It was a good year for singer songwriter Calvin Harris who made $46 million

And taking third place is the young country music star Taylor Swift. She clearly has more luck with her finances than with her string of disastrous boyfriends.
The 23 year-old You Belong With Me singer, who has dated 1D's Harry Styles amongst others this year, pocketed a cool $55 million.
Her earnings received a boost thanks to her album Red which sold 1.2 million copies in the first week.

Barbnados-born beauty Rihanna came in a respectable fifth place in the top earners under 30

Meanwhile Scottish singer songwriter Calvin Harris, 29, has made a fortune after morphing into a global DJ sensation.
He beat 25 year-old Rihanna into fourth place with earnings of $46 million.
Not bad for a boy who was discovered on MySpace.
Barbadian beauty Ri-Ri came in close behind with $43 million.

The first of the non-musicians to make the list is the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence who became Hollywood's darling this year with her Best Actress Oscar winning performance in Silver Linings Playbook.

Her earnings reached $26 million and things are only going to get better for the 22 year-old who can now command millions per movie.

Just behind Jennifer is Kristen Stewart, 23, with $22 million.
While her love life may have gone down the pan this year thanks to a highly publicized affair with married director Rupert Sanders and subsequent break up with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, her income remains unaffected.
And finally, Taylor Lautner may look like he has just stepped out of high school but he is yet another Twilight millionaire. The 21 year-old grabs the tenth spot matching Kristen's income with $22 million.

It's crazy hot in New York at the minute, with temperatures balancing out around the 90 degrees fahrenheit mark.
But even so, Lady Gaga perhaps took her attempts to cool to the extreme by stepping out in a tiny black lacy bra.
The anti-wallflower wore just a frilled balconette bra with a tiny black skirt and a pair of her trademark boots, and if she wasn't Lady Gaga, she may well have been pulled aside for flashing.

There are different rules for the 27-year-old star, however, so she was allowed to flash away as she strutted down the New York sidewalk.
Then, perhaps unsure as to whether she'd garnered enough attention, Gaga hopped into her car and stuck her giant boots out of the window to air.
For good measure, she shoved a cheeky monkey toy up into the car window.

Gaga set to perform first major gig since surgery at the iTunes festival in London.
Gaga was in a wheelchair and recuperating since undergoing hip surgery in February.
According to Britain's Sun newspaper, Gaga's team are spending £500,000 on the production at the iconic venue.
A source told The Sun: 'The gig in Camden has a huge budget and is likely to be the first anyone sees or hears of her album. The Haus Of Gaga team have been working in secret on costumes and stage sets for the show from their base in Paris.'

The show will be part of the iTunes festival and Gaga will join the likes of Justin Timberlake, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Elton John over the event's 30 nights of shows.
Gaga has sparked speculation she has recently undergone a nose job, after it appeared more streamlined at a recent Gay Pride event.
The singer took to the stage to speak at the celebration in New York and her nose appeared to be slimmer and smaller.

She hit headlines earlier this year when she unveiled her curvier figure after gaining 30lbs.
But now Lady Gaga has shed her extra weight, and showed off her new look as she stripped to a bikini while on holiday in Mexico earlier this week.
The 27-year-old singer displayed her toned figure in a floral two-piece while soaking up the sunshine with her friends.

Looking back to her confident best, Gaga smiled widely as she was photographed.
Clearly conscious of the strong sun, Gaga teamed the bikini with a wide-brimmed white hat and sunglasses to protect her pale complexion.
Later, Gaga was seen wearing a pair of wide-legged cream trousers over the bikini as she made her way back to her hotel.

The singer's footwear choice could have been slightly more sensible, however, as the singer was seen wearing a pair of black heeled court shoes, which she them removed to walk along the sands.
The heels were even more inappropriate considering Gaga's recent operation on her hip back in February for a labral tear.
She was forced to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour and doctors told her to take six months off.
She revealed on Twitter that she dealt with chronic pain for several months prior to seeking medical help, but chose to ignore its effects rather than disappoint her fans.

Gaga's impressive bikini body comes after some unflattering pictures of her on stage in Amsterdam last September led to the singer revealing she had gained 30lbs.
Following the shots, Gaga admitted in an interview that she had put on weight, telling Stylist magazine: 'I don't really care if people think I'm fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds.'
Gaga later blamed the weight gain on her restaurant owner father's cooking.
