Miss World Kaiane Aldorino has been attending Expo 2010, Shanghai, as
a special guest, taking part in a daily parade across the exhibition
site, as well as enjoying a visit to the China Pavilion, one of the many
pavilions representing the countries and organisations in attendance.
The parade was held to mark the start of Hainan culture week at the
Expo, celebrating the people and history of the island where the Miss
World Final will be held this year.
Kaiane spoke of her
experience: “The parade through the Expo travels from one side of the
site to the other, a distance of about 2km, which shows just how big it
is. Each day, crowds have gathered along the entire length of the
parade, and all along the bridge above. It has been really incredible.”“The
China Pavilion was very interesting, especially looking at China’s
amazing history, as the displays covered both the past and the future of
the country. I would love to stay and see all the other national
pavilions, but there are so many, I would never be able to see
everything!”Expo 2010 Shanghai has so far welcomed over 38
million visitors since it began in May, and the Miss World 2010
contestants will be invited to attend as part of their tour of China in
the run-up to the 60th Miss World Final, to be held in Sanya on October
30th.
