Spain's official representative to compete in Miss Universe pageant September this year is Paula Guilló Sempere – a Spanish beauty queen born in Elche, after being crowned as Miss Spain 2011 by Miss Spain 1964- María José Ulla at a gala event held on September 25, 2010, City Square of Toledo, Spain.
Miss Spain pageant organizer broke the tradition of crowning this year. Instead of being crowned by the former titleholder, Estíbaliz Pereira-Miss Spain 2009, they opt to have Miss Spain 1964 to do the crowning. Paula Guilló is 20 years old and stands 5'11".
