Working on her tan lines: Kate Upton went topless with a male companion on the beach in Hawaii in newly-released photographs dating back to October last year

As a swimsuit model, two-pieces at the beach are all in a day's work.
But when on vacation, it seems Kate Upton puts up even more front.
The 21-year-old Sports Illustrated cover girl, joined by an unknown male companion, is seen here in newly-released pictures, soaking up the sun in Hawaii back in October last year.

Kate went topless, only wearing a pair of black bikini bottoms, a hat and shades as she enjoyed relaxing on the gorgeous coastline.
Upton has described herself as 'very confident' with her body - and looking at these pictures it is not hard to see why.
Despite criticism about her comparatively larger figure compared to other models in the fashion industry, Kate said last year: 'I'm not going to starve just to be thin.
'I want to enjoy life, and I can’t if I’m not eating and miserable.'

Enjoying life certainly seems to be a motto for the model of late.
In the past month alone she has been linked Dancing With The Stars professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy and now the rumour mill is rife she is getting close with Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin.
The New York Post's Page Six reported that Kate joined the basketball star at Lower East Side venue Beuaty & Essex on Wednesday and were 'very cosy with each other,' according to a source.

Earlier this month she rang in her 21st birthday with the 33-year-old DWTS hunk Maksim after being set up by mutual friends.
A source told UsMagazine.com: 'It's very new. They were set up through friends. They just started dating.'
A spokesperson for the model refused to comment but a friend close to the blonde beauty, who was previously linked to P. Diddy, confirmed that she and Maksim have been spending time together.

However, the insider insisted that they have known each other for a long time and are just friends.
The duo was spotted on a romantic date together at Scalinatella in New York City's Upper East Side neighbourhood recently.
An eyewitness said they were holding hands at their table and added: 'They were very canoodly. It was a very intimate meal.'
Kate is currently shooting her first major film role in the city alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann in The Other Woman.
